At the beginning we started as a group with a common interest, then we became a working group and finally we ended up as a non-profit organization, with the initiative of the member companies coordinated by the Minister Jorge.A.Arguindegui who is in charge of the United Nations Purchase System in the Argentine Foreign Office.
The FEAPNU follows the principles that in his speech to the Davos World Economic Forum in January 1999, UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan proposed as a Global Compact between the UN and business to uphold and promulgate a set of core values in the fields of human rights, labour standards and environmental practice.

The FEAPNU is the Forum of Argentine Companies Suppliers of United Nations, created in the beginning of 2002, in order to achieve a common aim: a competitive exportable offer to meet the demands made by the different Agencies, Funds and Programs of this Organization.

The purpose of the Forum is to improve the participation of the national companies within the purchase market of the United Nations.

The United Nations Procurement System obtains goods, products and services for around 50.000 million dollars per year.

The FEAPNU had a sustainible growth and nowadays is composed of sixty enterprises and is following all the necessary procedures to finally get its legal institutionalism.

The UN recommends to rely on the organizations of trade promotion, commercial representatives, national authorites of trade, and embassies or consulates in the countries where they are seated or local offices of the UN.

In order to achieve its goals the FEAPNU has intended the following:

  • To promote the exportable offer of Member Companies to the inner circle of the United Nations Procurement
        System.
  • To promote expertise interchange, action criteria unification and related activities among our companies.
  • To train Member Companies in exporting, selling, and/or supplying to the particular market of the United Nations
        worldwide.
  • To encourage the establishment of joint Ventures or other models of business associativity, as well as the
cooperation among Member Companies, in order to improve competition and individual opportunities.
  • To ask the Argentine Foreign Office for permanent assistance and support regarding the United Nations projects
that Member Companies are interested in.
  • To support the procurements of Member Companies.
  • Invitation of different procurement chief from Agencies, Funds and Programs of the United Nations.

  • Getting involved in this market requires patience and perseverance plus an important exportable offer.

The main objective is to supply goods and services of national origin to the different entities of the United Nations, meeting the demands made by the different Agencies, Funds and Programs of this Organization on its worldwide missions regarding humanitarian aid, peace and security, as well as economic and social development.

Within the huge demand and the commercial possibilities for Argentine Companies the main Agencies, Funds and Programmes of the United Nations are:
  • UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund).
  • UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees).
  • WHO (World Health Organization).
  • WFP (World Food Program).
  • UNDP (United Nations Development Programme).
  • IAPSO (Inter-Agency Procurement Services Office).
  • UNOPS (United Nations Office for Projects Services).
  • UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund)
  • FAO ( Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations)

In order to focus on each specific sector we have created different subcommisions within the Member Companies such as the Health Subcommision and the Consultants in Communications and Engineering Subcommision.

The FEAPNU is aimed at those companies that would like to provide goods and services to the United Nations having an exportable offer as the one it requires. If you would like to join us you just need to fill in the form
